Since the establishment  of the National Seismological Centre in 1994 the Centre has been informing the public, through national media, as soon as an earthquake greater than  magnitude (ML)  4.0  occurs within Nepal. Before 1994 the Centre released the information  only when there was some inquiry about earthquake. The following is the list of earthquake informed to public since 1994.
